Rotarian Beverly Gray attended Class Day at Tantasqua Regional High School recently where she presented six scholarships to seniors pursuing a college degree. It’s a long process reviewing and evaluating the 60 applications that were received. The Scholarship Committee, after much deliberation, chose the six recipients. Rotary has given over $186,000 in scholarships since 1973. For the past 20+ years, $6,000 has been designated each year for scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000 each. This year each received $1,000. In presenting the scholarship, Bev relates the fun and factual information about each recipient. It’s a feeling of great pride in knowing we have helped a student strive for a higher education. The young people of today will be our leaders in years to come.
