All Rotary Clubs are expected to be of assistance to the local and international community by creating or participating in projects that provide:
Vocational Service typically involves club members providing growth opportunities to people in their community via their professions, while encouraging high ethical standards. As business leaders, Rotarians share skills and expertise in order to inspire others.
Community Service is the opportunity Rotary clubs have to implement projects and activities that improve life in the local community.
International Service provides humanitarian assistance around the world. It promotes World Peace & Understanding, supports the Eradication of Polio by supplying the thousands of volunteers in the field, sponsors and hosts International Youth Exchange students, supplies medical instruments to poor countries, drills water wells in Africa, etc.
Youth Service engages Rotarians in developing leadership skills in high school students via Rotary’s RYLA program, creating and supporting youth clubs for high school students with the Interact program, and clubs for college age young adults with the Rotaract program.
