Lisa Brodeur, a local woman, spoke at our recent meeting about the book she has written. Her book describes what happened to her family when a drunk driver, who also had cocaine in his system, struck her family’s car and forever changed their lives. It was a tragic and horrifying story, one that no family should ever have to endure. The book will make you think about the choices you make and the consequences of those choices. This book is a ‘must read’. “A Mother’s Journey – Through Faith, Hope, and Courage.”
We are happy to announce that we have launched the updated Sturbridge Rotary Club website. It was a long time coming but the wait was worth it.
It tells who we are, what we do, and what we have done in the past with lots of photos. We hope you will find the website a useful resource. Check out all the tabs and read the latest ‘goings on’ in the News tab.
Sturbridge Rotary Club Members can put in their password for needed and useful Member Only information, including the full Club Calendar, Club Member Directory, Club Bylaws and more. Other visitors have access to everything else.
Coming soon…the website is designed to share our local club information with social media including Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn and will have PayPal capability for collecting donations and fundraiser payments.
So check the website out and let us know what you think by clicking on the Contact Us button.
Our thanks go Pauline, Klaus, and Kathi, our talented web guru at Cornerstone Visual Communications
It was great to have our friend and Past-President Jenn Harwich-Vaughan with us at our meeting tonight. President Larry presented Jenn with her second Paul Harris Fellow pin in recognition of her leadership of the Club, all her hard work throughout the year and for having served a second term as president. Congratulations Jenn! Your recognition is well deserved. We miss you.
